Tennessee Truck Accident Results in Two Injuries

Middle Tennessee is a major hub for the transportation industry, so our area sees it’s fair share of accidents involving commercial tractor-trailers. In fact, data from the Tennessee Department of Safety shows Davidson County has held the second highest number of truck accidents in the state for at least the last three years, while surrounding counties also report a higher than average number of collisions involving big rigs.

The Nashville truck accident lawyers at Ponce Law point out that a recent tractor-trailer crash brings into perspective just how common these collisions are in our area. Reports indicate the accident occurred on Sunday, Dec. 13, near the intersection of Nashville Highway and Carters Creek Pike in Columbia, Tennessee.

The Columbia Daily Herald reports that a Mazda sedan occupied by two passengers and an 18-wheeler carrying a forklift struck one another just south of the highway crossing. The two passengers in the Mazda were seriously injured and were transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Officials with the Columbia Police Department stated they were still considering a number of causes of truck accidents that may have led to the crash.

An accident with a tractor-trailer can have a physical, emotional, and financial effect on victims, and the legal team at Ponce Law strives to always be an advocate for those who find themselves in such a position. That’s why we would like to wish a speedy and full recovery to the two motorists who were seriously injured this past weekend.
