Getting the Right Attorney for Your Case

Getting the right attorney to handle your injury claim is important. But what makes the right lawyer the “right lawyer?” In our opinion, a number of things, but we’ll focus on just one for this blog entry: negotiating power.

Legal expertise and experience are important qualities in an attorney, but at the end of the day, an attorney’s ability to negotiate with the insurance company on their client’s behalf will determine the end result of the case. In most personal injury cases, there’s little question as to who was at-fault. That’s usually determined at the scene of the accident and is rarely successfully altered later on. The at-fault party’s insurance company already knows they are liable for expenses related to the accident. The question is how much are they liable for.

The right lawyer for your case should be able to determine what his or her client deserves for their injuries and work with the insurance company to secure that amount. He or she can’t be too feeble in those negotiations, nor should an attorney be too forceful. Successful injury claim negotiations require a balanced approach, and that only comes from experience.

At Ponce Law, we’ve been successfully negotiating settlements for Nashville injury victims for decades. If you’ve been injured, give our experienced Nashville car accident attorneys a call today for a free consultation.
