Hunger isn’t a problem that just affects third world countries. In fact, there are millions of people in the United States who will go without a meal today—many of whom live in Middle Tennessee. The organization Feeding America says that one in four children in our state are food insecure.
Luckily, there are groups like the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee who can help combat hunger. The organization was launched in 1978 and has since served approximately 20 million meals to those in need here in Middle Tennessee.
The Nashville personal injury lawyers at Ponce Law are working to help Second Harvest achieve their goals by naming them as our “Charity of the Month”. That means for each new and unique “Like” our Facebook page receives throughout the month of July, we will donate $1 to the cause of fighting hunger.
If you wish to do more to help, there are ways! Second Harvest accepts monetary donations through their website. You can also set up an opportunity to volunteer your time sorting food items or serving meals through the organization’s website as well.
At Ponce Law, we believe in helping others in the communities we serve and encourage you to stay up to date with what we are doing to give back by taking a look at the community and news page on our website.
