4 Ways To Stay Safe On The Road To Bonnaroo Music Festival

The Bonnaroo Music Festival is taking place in Middle Tennessee this weekend, which means music lovers from across the nation will be descending on our great state. Unfortunately, this also means traffic may be heavy and the chances of being involved in a motor vehicle collision may significantly increase in the area surrounding the festival.

Just last year, a Tennessee truck accident that occurred along the highway when traffic slowed to enter the festival was responsible for claiming the lives of two concertgoers and injuring several others.

So what can you do to stay safe and avoid involvement in an accident if you are traveling to or around the festival this year? At Ponce Law, our team of Nashville personal injury lawyers has come up with a list of tips that could prove effective, including:

  • Be Patient– Wait times on roads around the festival may be extended, so stay calm and remember to be courteous to other motorists.
  • Be Vigilant– Many people will choose to travel by foot around the festival, which can mean countless pedestrians along the road to watch for. Also, other drivers may be traveling from out of state, meaning they may be unfamiliar with the roads and traffic patterns. This can lead to drivers making careless mistakes.
  • Buckle Up– Wearing your seat belt can significantly reduce the chances of death or injury if you happen to be involved in a crash.
  • Don’t Drive While Intoxicated– Many Bonnaroo attendees may choose to have a drink during their stay. If you choose to do so, please don’t try to drive anywhere.
